Description
Pepto Bismol is an antacids which provides relief from nausea, diarrhea and upset stomach due to overindulgence in food and drink, along with heart burn and indigestion. It works by neutralizing stomach acidity. Pepto Bismol is used to relieve heartburn and nausea, it’s also used to relieve indigestion or stomach upset and it can help to control diarrhea.
It works by protecting your stomach and the lower part of your food pipe from stomach acid.
Pepto Bismol should work within 30 to 60 minutes. You can have another dose after 30 to 60 minutes, if you should need to. You can take up to 8 doses in 24 hours.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This medicine is not suitable for people or ever had an allergic reaction to bismuth subsalicylate or any of the other ingredients in Pepto bismol.
